Dr. Ashley Southern is the physician and co-founder of Alturas Medical Weight Loss, Meridian’s trusted clinic for physician-supervised GLP-1 therapy and hormone optimization. Dr. Ashley Southern didn’t start Alturas Medical Weight Loss to run just another clinic. She started it because she was tired of watching patients fail programs that weren’t designed for how the human body actually works.
As a board-certified Naturopathic Medical Doctor with 5+ years of clinical experience, she brings both the science and the empathy that lasting weight loss requires. Her training in regenerative medicine and hormone therapy gave her a deep understanding of how hormones, metabolism, and appetite regulation interact – the foundation for everything Alturas does today.
At Alturas, Dr. Southern oversees every patient’s treatment plan personally. She combines Meridian’s most effective weight loss options, physician-prescribed GLP-1 medications like Semaglutide and Tirzepatide, with targeted hormone therapy for patients whose results have plateaued elsewhere. The result is a program that works when nothing else has.
